Eric's San Jose Mexican Restaurant has been serving Columbia, SC for over 20 years, and we have been rated "The best Mexican Restaurant for 10 straight years!"

We are especially proud to reach our main goal, TO BE THE BEST. How do we know we are the best? Well, The State Newspaper which is the largest newspaper here in the midlands, invited their readers to vote on who they all thought was the best Mexican restaurant here in the midlands. The votes are tallied each year and we have been voted as the best 10 years in a row! "What an accomplishment, to actually be the best! With all the Mexican restaurants here in central South Carolina, we have been voted as the best.", states Eric Leon, the owner and founder of Eric's San Jose Mexican Restaurant.

Meet Eric and his version of San Jose Mexican Restaurant

Eric Leon, aka "The Godfather", started working at his father's San Jose Mexican Restaurant when he was 12 years old. From his fathers stern teachings, Eric was taught the importance of great food, great atmosphere, and a great price. As soon as Eric started his own restaurant, he wanted it to be different than any other Mexican restaurant. So different, that he decided to put his name "Eric's" to identify that this is his restaurant, which is like no other.

As you can, or will tell, Eric invests his money back into his business to keep it a huge success. It has been voted as Best Mexican Restaurant 10 years in a row. Eric states that it is "the best" for a reason. Come in, have a seat, and enjoy your Mexican meal.

Our staff consists of:

• Four (4) cooks
  Ten to twelve (10-12) waiters
  Two (2) full-time managers
  Four (4) cleaning staff

We take pride in our quality of food, price, and speed in which your food is presented; our goal is to make your meal the very best it can be. We always have a little larger staff for the Friday - Sunday seatings.

Our Top-Notch Managers:

Hector (Manager)

Hector has been with Eric's San Jose since 2003. He not only works at Eric's full time, but also works at another company that deals with computers. We have found out that Hector has a really funny personallity. He makes these funny comments that really puts a smile on our customer's faces. If you have any questions, Hector will be happy to help. (His nickname is "DJ Hector")

 

Israel (Supervisor)

Israel first worked for Eric as a waiter back in 2000. He left to pursue other ventures, but Eric was in need of a supervisor. Israel came back in 2004 as supervisor and has been working at Eric's ever since. We have found out that Israel is a really fast talker with English, considering he was born and raised in Mexico. Israel is well known by the regulars and is always helpful.
